ReSound Sensia
A premium rechargeable hearing aid that automatically sharpens the conversation in front of you and quiets the noise around it, with no program switching.

The ReSound Sensia is a premium rechargeable hearing aid built on GN's new AI platform, and its main advance is automation. Earlier ReSound devices could reduce noise with a deep neural network, but you had to switch into a special program to get it. Sensia recognizes a difficult, noisy conversation and turns that processing on by itself, so you are not reaching for a button or an app. We fit the ReSound Sensia at Audiological Services in Lufkin, TX.
Noise Processing That Works on Its Own
Sensia's automatic system is called Intelligent All-Around, and it combines three things. First, a classifier named AcoustIQ reads the room and decides which features the moment calls for. Second, a four-microphone beamformer forms a forward-facing zone of focus, built on a simple human habit: you tend to look at the person you want to hear. Third, deep neural network denoising lifts that speaker while easing the competing sound around them. When the room is quiet, Sensia stays open so you keep your natural sense of space, and it steps up only as noise builds. It is also deliberately unhurried about its strongest setting, waiting for a steady pattern of conversation before fully engaging so the sound does not jump around as a room briefly changes.
Key Features of the ReSound Sensia
For patients who want help in noise without managing settings, these are the features worth knowing.
- Intelligent All-Around: The automatic program that senses the environment, focuses on the speech in front of you, and engages noise reduction when it is actually needed, at the premium level without any manual switching.
- AcoustIQ classification: The system that identifies quiet, noise, and speech-in-noise, then turns on the right features for each, which ReSound describes as the part many hearing aids get wrong.
- Four-microphone beamformer: Creates a forward focus so you hear who you are facing, while lower-frequency sound stays open so you retain awareness of your surroundings.
- Two kinds of noise reduction: DNN denoising handles hard speech-in-noise situations, and ReSound's established Noise Tracker II handles noise without speech, such as a fan or vacuum, so each setting is matched to the moment.
- All-day rechargeable battery: Rated for at least 24 hours, up to roughly 30 depending on use, in one of the smaller premium rechargeable styles available.
- Full connectivity with live Auracast: Bluetooth LE Audio and a telecoil on applicable models, plus Auracast that is working at launch, letting you receive broadcast audio in equipped theaters, airports, and other public venues.
Is the ReSound Sensia Right for You?
Sensia suits patients whose priority is ease: you put the hearing aids in and let them handle the shifting between quiet and noisy settings for you. It fits a wide range of hearing loss and comes in many styles, from a very small rechargeable receiver-in-ear to custom in-the-ear and in-the-canal options, with CROS and bimodal versions for single-sided hearing loss and for Cochlear implant users. Full automatic denoising is a feature of the premium microRIE, so the right level and style depend on your needs.
It is worth knowing the tradeoffs, which we will talk through honestly. The forward focus works best when you face the person you want to hear, music is a program you select rather than one the hearing aid guesses at, and the system takes a short while to confirm a noisy scene before applying its strongest help. Because we partner with all major manufacturers, we can set Sensia beside comparable models and recommend what truly fits your hearing and your routine, backed by programming to your results, a 30-day trial period, scheduled clean and checks, and ongoing support.
